  • Chicken Pot Pie

    ingredients

    2 lb. bone-in chicken pieces

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon saffron

    3 stems celery, chopped, optional

    1/4 cup diced onions, optional

    2 cups diced carrots, optional

    1 package (6 ounces) Weavers pot pie noodles*

    2 – 4 potatoes, thinly sliced

    1. Put chicken pieces in a kettle with enough water to cover them; add saffron and salt. Cook until tender. You should now have a flavorful chicken stock.

    2. Remove chicken and take off the bone and shred. Add back into stock.

    3. Add the vegetables.

    4. Bring to a boil, and add noodles one piece at a time, while stirring.

    5. Cook about 30 – 45 minutes longer and serve
